This is really good if you are working your way up the different strengths of retinol although I'd suggest using the lower percentages first before working your way up to this one. The texture is quite oily and heavy but definitely doesn't make your skin oily. If you can get used to the texture, it's a great product overall.

Too oily for my face, loved it on neck chest hands
This oil serum did not absorb well as the 2nd or 3rd layer of my routine. For that I prefer the Ordinary Granactive Retinoid emulsion which is waterbased and absorbs very well. I enjoyed using this product on my neck chest and hands and also mix it with body oil. I repurchased it for my body.

Did not help with anything, but great sealing oil!
Soo..I have been using this serum for 4 months now. I still have little bit more than half of it and I use 7 drops for my face, neck and hands every night after HA serum. I have combination skin (oily T-zone + dry/normal rest of my face) with large pores, blackheads, 2-3 pimples every month, fine lines and uneven texture after acne scarring (I am 29 y.o.). I had slightly more pimples and dryer skin for 3 weeks. Nothing extreme. My main "concerns" were fine lines and texture. Well.. There is no improvement, even slightest. I still enjoy squalane as sealing oil, so I will continue using this serum, but if you are worried about fine lines or wrinkles, do not even bother buying this.. I really hoped, that it will help..

Greasy AF
I hate this product so much, I ended up just purchasing a different retinol product. I bought it because it was cheap, there were good reviews, and it had different levels of retinol so you could start on the lowest one and work your way up. Even if it’s just a few drops, it’s the greasiest thing ever to put on your face, even on my very dry skin. After awhile, I couldn’t stand the ultra greasy, sticky texture of it on my face, neck, and décolletage in my evening skincare routine, and decided it was worth spending more on a good quality retinol product that didn’t leave you feeling like you went on an ultra lubricated slip and slide and landed in oil. If you’re on a budget, this is okay, but be warned, as the Ordinary’s products are cheap, you’re not paying for it to feel nice on the skin or for the experience.
