Designed for those new to retinoids or prone to sensitivity, this entry-level serum is designed by skincare expert Caroline Hirons. Formulated with 0.2% hydroxypinacolone retinoate, the serum helps tackle fine lines, breakouts and dark spots.
The serum is enriched with retinoid boosters including soybean extract and bakuchiol to enhance the efficacy. Fortified with squalane and vitamin E, it also works to moisturise the skin. It is easy to add the pump from the empty product to the refill. It can be used to help achieve a smoother, more even complexion.

Use in the PM, after cleansing. Apply a few pumps of the serum across your face and lightly massage into the skin. Allow to absorb and follow with your moisturiser, if preferred. Use sun protection during the day.
For Retinoid 1, initially we would recommend you use it twice a week, building up to 3-4 times per week depending on your skin’s need.
If you are currently using an acid product (e.g. AHA, BHA toner), we would recommend you use this and the retinoid on alternate days.
PM Retinoid routine example: Cleanse, Tone (hydrating toners/mists only), Retinoid 1 or 2 Treatment, Eye Cream, Moisturise (if needed).

Thank you CH- I’m not sure why it took me so long to try this product. I’ve struggled with retinol before, my skin gets angry and I tend to give up. This has truly given a glow- it’s comfortable and my skin responds really well with this and an oil applied 10 mins later. Lovely beginner vitamin a product

Really great product
Have been using the Skin Rocks retinol for a while and I'm so glad they do a refill that saves you a little bit of money. Really good retinol and good amount of it in the actual product which is quite rare to find. My skin adapted really well to it and I have noticed a massive difference.

I love love love this product, and I love even more that there is a refill option. I found that it lasted much longer than I expected, so I had actually bought the refill before I really needed to, but it was super simple to change it out in the packaging. The formula is so good - no adverse reactions, but such good results. At some point I suppose I might move to retinoid 2 but I’m so happy with 1 that I can’t actually see that being for a while

I’ve almost finished my first bottle of this and it’s exactly what I wanted, a gentle retinol. My skin is much smoother, brighter blemish marks clear up quicker. I first I used once a week then increased twice a week now three times. Love the packaging and love that it’s refillable. I’ve already purchased a refill.
