Insanely good
I must admit, I was skeptical when I first tried the Susanne Kaufmann Purifying Cleansing Gel. But oh my goodness, it blew me away! This product is an absolute game-changer. Disappointing
Upon first wash I moved this. My face felt fresh and clean. However unfortunately the drier parts of my combination skin then started to feel dry and tight and this has got worse. Now my face feels drier than ever before and that I’m getting flaky patches. Disappointed and won’t be buying again. My skin is combination and dehydrated and I’m in my early 40s in case that helps.

Not so good anymore!
I have reviewed this product before and gave it the highest recommendation. Unfortunately, since then Susanne Kaufmann has changed its formulation and frankly the loss in quality is all too plain. Texture is more watery, the smell is off, and the cleansing action is average at best. I even got two bottles and both were like this. I no longer can recommend this product. What is worse most Susanne Kaufmann products do not keep well. They start deteriorating and within 6 months or so, they start smelling different and not performing well. For excellent gel cleansers, you need not look far. Both La Mer and Revive make excellent ones. Susanne Kaufmann is no longer viable for me.

I think I like this product so much because of the scent, it's so refreshing in the morning and makes cleansing my face an absolute joy. Definitely does the job and doesn't leave skin dry, I'm just still a bit on the fence in regards to how well it cleanses, I haven't noticed a difference in pore clarity and it occasionally feels like a residue is left on the face (which then slightly foams if using a serum).

Works great
This is a great cleanser. It can leave a bit of dryness on dehydrated skin, but I would actually not call it “purifying”. It is a very effective gel cleanser that washes off nicely and lifts all makeup and spf. It is also quite efficient in terms of the necessary quantity.
