Not intended for Thick thick Afro.
I have thick undiluted afro hair and so do my children, theirs is even thicker, and I kid you not this is Not intended for Thick thick Afro. I have been through a few of these brushes and as good as they are for a period, they are awfully awful. The bristles fall out and when you push them back in its no use. Some instances this is whilst brushing the hair, I must say it does glide, detangles and brushes out well. It just was not lasting for me unless you have that fine afro hair or diluted afro hair. I was extremely eager with this and wanted it to work so badly in support of the brand. Especially being a woman owned and black brand too but it just didn't hit the afro spot as I had wanted. I hardly use the brush either, but that not being the point. When you make purchase of items, its fair to say, you want them to last a great period of time, not just a 12 month time span. That's not a well made item in this case. I have other brushes as old as my children and still functioning rightfully so. A case of wanting it to work so badly it was a huge disappointment. I am currently on my second from here as there was an issue with the first I purchased and almost didn't get a replacement as I was being told I had passed my 12 month period by one month and nothing could be done. Until I pointed out that before that was up the brush was functioning well hence there was nothing to report on. I am extremely disappointed at this product and also the fact that it is quite expensive, you'd think it will work on all spectrums of Afro hair, sadly not. Also lost the brand name inscription on the brush handle, probably due to oil residue, yet again a function that is not functioning. Surely the prototype would have brought all of this in view but here we are, the consumer left with battling things out when things should be made using great materials.

Split end saviour
I’ve been using a well known de tangling brush for years now and could never understand why I had so many split ends despite never colouring, rarely using heat products but also investing in high end hair care products. My hairdresser informed me the damage these brushes can do so I wanted to give this a try, it works a treat! I’ve noticed a definite decrease in those pesky split ends since using and it also feels really nice on the scalp, even my curly haired little boy lets me brush his hair with ease using this!

First of all I love the design of this brush, looks very classy and expensive while it's not! I've given few as a gift and people were shocked how good the quality was. Brushes the hair nicely without pulling it, while massaging it. I mean it's just a hair brush but a really good one! Highly recommend!

I love this
This is a nice and big brush. It massages my scalp nicely, too. I think this paddle brush will last for a long time, so while it can be a bit of an investment, it will last for years! It seems to be great quality. I'm very interested to try other Charlotte Mensah products, too.

Great brush
Wow it’s such a nice brush for especially my sons thick and wavy mid length hair! He hates when I brush his hair, but this makes it so much easier. It detangles the hair easily without pulling in it. It makes the hair look beautiful and clean. Highly recommend.
