Very strong scent
I think not everyone will love this product. While my hair is completely straight I use it for general styling and conditioning properties and enjoy the smoothing. This product doesn't weight down my fine hair, if I use it in small amount. While I enjoy the scent it is very strong and lasts for the entire time it is in y hair, so it is quite tiring some point. You also need to consder this if you're wearing a pefume because it might clash.

Smells and feels rich
I’ve been using this every few days on my 4C hair and I have to say it leaves it feeling very soft and smells lovely. Only a little is needed at a time and it sinks into my hair without weighing it down

Cloying scent and minimal hold
I received a deluxe trial size of this in a beauty box, and I was looking forward to using it as I am always searching for a pomade that works for my curly, frizzy hair. Unfortunately, this isn’t it. On a positive note, it is hydrating, and it makes my hair look sleek for a little bit. Because it’s moisturizing, that helps to take the frizz. But, it’s certainly not a traditional pomade in the sense that it offers me no hold, and the ‘sleek’ look dissolves into the usual frizziness after awhile as it’s simply moisturizing rather than creating hold. My biggest issue is the scent; it’s too herbal and lingers all day and to the extent that those around me can smell it. I’ve been using it at home on days I know I’ll wash my hair as I hate to waste it but definitely not anything I enjoy using nor would I repurchase.

Blown away
Love this! Wasn’t sure what to expect from a pomade as I’ve never really used one before, but this is just perfect as a finishing product for me. I have fine but dense 3a / b curls and this is all I need to refine and set my curls at the end of my styling routine. It seems to have the benefit of an oil to keep my locks hydrated and a minimum amount of hold to tame the flyaways.
