Dr Dennis Gross Breakout Gel contains 2% salicylic acid to target spots and breakouts, exfoliating the outer layer of skin, unclogging pores, minimising inflammation and reducing bacteria. Excellent pimple eater
Literally this eats your pimples. I love it, it works. You obviously have to consider when to use it - I prefer at night after my entire routine and let it do its work while you sleep. It will stick on your pillow - so be mindful of that. But you also can wear this during the day if needed. Be aware it will peel around the spot as it destroys that bad gunk on your face.

Not for me
I've been struggling with adult acne for years and have tried many breakout clarifying gels. Unfortunately, the one I purchased from Dr. Dennis Gross was a disappointment. It didn't help to heal my acne, but instead, it made my skin more sensitive and caused a lot of peeling under my makeup. Moreover, it was totally incapable of treating deep hormonal acne. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I've heard that they changed the formula recently, but I don't have the courage to try it out despite how desperately I want to treat my skin.

It works
Dr. Dennis Gross does some great products that my over reactive / sensitive skin get on with, and this is one of them. I don't get a lot of spots, but when I do, they always leave a mark behind. I have found that the quicker I can get rid of them, the less of a mark they leave, so this is super helpful for the healing process. I also like that it is salicylic acid and prefer that over the weird drying ones. You can wear it day and night, and even top up in the day time, and it's undetectable, which is nice.

It works but
I have been using this clearing gel for many months now and it actually works wonders with breakouts but it’s also a bit irritating and it tingles on application so you must be very careful with application and try to not get it everywhere only on breakouts.

I adore this brand and was eager to test the clearing gel for breakouts. The product was a great size and it didn't cause any irritation on my skin. Since a little goes a long way it would last for a really long time. I would recommend for a skincare lover
